Developed by Hypnotix and released in 2002, Outlaw Golf takes the refined world of golf and turns it upside down—pairing realistic mechanics with wild characters and outrageous antics.

Play solo or with up to four players in competitive single-player or multiplayer modes. Choose from a cast of eccentric golfers, each accompanied by their own quirky caddy. The game’s tongue-in-cheek tone and adult humor make every round as unpredictable as it is entertaining, featuring characters like a rebellious biker, a free-spirited hippie, and even a pole-dancing pro.

One of Outlaw Golf’s most distinctive mechanics is the Composure Meter, a system that reflects your golfer’s confidence and emotional control. Nail perfect shots to boost composure and increase your swing distance—but miss too often, and your frustration grows, throwing off your performance. Want to vent your anger? Take it out on your caddy to regain composure and get back in the zone.

Perfect shots ignite the ball in flames as it soars through the air, rewarding skill and precision with over-the-top flair. Later sequels, including Outlaw Golf 2, added new courses, characters, and online multiplayer, further expanding the game’s outrageous charm. While the original Xbox Live service was discontinued in 2010, Outlaw Golf 2 remains playable online today through Insignia’s replacement servers.
